Welcome, Brave Writer Friends!

If you’ve stopped by this site because you heard my recent interview with Julie Bogart on the Brave Writer podcast, welcome! I’m thrilled that you're here, especially since I know that we share a passion for Julie’s work and the Brave Writer lifestyle.

I’d love to show you around a bit while you’re here. First, I’d like to point out two FREE resources that I have available to help you pursue language and cultural learning at home.

  1. My resource library is a growing list of living books, music, and other resources available in foreign languages. These resources are helpfully ranked by age group and by proficiency level, so that you can easily match them to your children’s needs and interests. It’s a great place to start if you’re looking for tools to help you study foreign languages more holistically--i.e. the Brave Writer way. Right now, it's stocked with lots of resources in Spanish, and French resources will be added later this week! If you're studying another language, however, please sign up so that you can be notified when those materials will be available.
  2. My other free resource is actually, well, all of the other people here! I believe that other homeschooling parents are a rich source of ideas and inspiration for foreign language learning, so I invite you to join my Language Learning At Home Facebook community. We trade success stories, troubleshoot problems, and ask for recommendations on a daily basis, and we’d love to have you be a part of our group.

As for the blog, if you’d like to learn more about ways that you can approach language learning in your home as part of the Brave Writer lifestyle, you might like to start here:
